Rocky Point Animal Hospital offers full service grooming for all your dogs salon needs. Ms. April Wood is a professional, certified animal groomer with over 15 years of grooming experience. She does all her own work, from bathing and blow drying to clipping and brushing. You can rest assured that your pet is her passion too!
What vaccinations do you require for grooming?
In order to maintain a safe, comfortable environment, we require all pets (dogs and cats) to be current on their rabies vaccinations. Proof of rabies vaccination in the form of paperwork is required. Adult dogs must have a current Distemper/Parvo vaccine and a current Bordetella. Puppies between 8 weeks and 4 months of age may receive services with age appropriate vaccines being required from a licensed veterinarian. Cats must have a current FvRCP (Feline Distemper) vaccine. Although some companies only require a current Rabies vaccination for grooming, our goal is to provide your pet with a healthy and safe environment. In order to best do this and protect everyone's pet from illness, we require that core vaccines (Rabies, Distemper, and K9 Bordetella) are current.
How do I book a grooming appointment online?
Please call our receptionist at 910-602-6633 to schedule a grooming appointment with April. April will receive your pet on the day of the appointment, go over what type of cut and grooming you would like, and answer any questions or special requests you may have.
Do I need to book an appointment in advance?
Booking an appointment for a grooming service ahead of time is required and ensures that you and your pet are not kept waiting any longer than necessary.
How do I get the cost of my pet's grooming appointment?
Prices for grooming are based on breed, condition of coat and length of service. You can find a range of prices and services offered on our Grooming Services page. Alternatively, when you call to make a grooming appointment our receptionist can provide an estimate for your dog's breed. Ms. April will be able to give you a more accurate estimate when you drop off and speak with her the morning of your appointment.
