EMERGENCY HOURS DURING "STAY IN PLACE" for NORTH CAROLINA
March 30th, 2020 at 5pm until April 29th, 2020

EFFECTIVE MONDAY, MARCH 30TH at 5PM.
Rocky Point Animal Hospital will be open on a very modified schedule until at least April 29th, per Governor Roy Cooper's Order to stay at home.

To reach us, please call 910-602-6633 and LEAVE A MESSAGE. An ON CALL PROVIDER will call you back.

Please be patient with us as we navigate this new territory.

What does this mean?

WE ARE HERE FOR EMERGENCY AND EMERGENT CASES. We will be operating on a very limited staff basis for the protection of our staff, the community, and to help slow the spread of COVID-19. It is important that we #STAYHOME.

WE CAN BE REACHED AT 910-602-6633. PLEASE LEAVE US A MESSAGE AND WE WILL CALL YOU BACK.

The following is a recommendation from the AVMA on EMERGENCY NEEDS:
  • Severe bleeding or bleeding that doesn't stop within five minutes
  • Choking, difficulty breathing or nonstop coughing and gagging
  • Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, coughing up blood, or blood in urine
  • Inability to urinate or pass feces (stool), or obvious pain associated with urinating or passing stool
  • Injuries to your pet's eye(s)
  • You suspect or know your pet has eaten something poisonous (such as antifreeze, xylitol, chocolate, rodent poison, etc.)
  • Seizures and/or staggering
  • Fractured bones, severe lameness or inability to move leg(s)
  • Obvious signs of pain or extreme anxiety
  • Heat stress or heatstroke
  • Severe vomiting or diarrhea – more than two episodes in a 24-hour period, or either of these combined with obvious illness or any of the other problems listed here
  • Refusal to drink for 24 hours or more
  • Unconsciousness

ADDITIONALLY, we will continue to provide EMERGENT SERVICES...
  • ProHeart shots that will be due during this time;
  • Vaccinations that need boosting in puppies, or those needing boostering in a vaccine series.
  • If you are an adult animal, needing a yearly booster, we will provide this IF YOUR PETS VACCINE BECOMES OVERDUE BY 30 DAYS DURING THEPERIOD OF TIME FROM MARCH 31ST THROUGH APRIL 29TH.
  • Chronic medical needs, such as thyroid, seizures, renal, and liver disease.

We will be refilling medications prescription food needs daily. PLEASE GIVE US 24 HOURS TO FILL THESE MEDICATION. Once the medication is filled, we will call you to accept payment and arrange a "pick up" time. 

Depending on the need, WE MAY REFER YOU TO OUR ONLINE PHARMACY.  ALTERNATIVELY, PLEASE CONSIDER USING OUR ONLINE PHARMACY.  The medication can be mailed straight to you!
